• Asharqia Chamber welcomes more than 10 experts in the Family Business Governance Forum

                  Asharqia Chamber hosts more than ten experts on April 19 in the field of governance and transformation of the Family Business Governance Forum, launched by Asharqia Chamber in cooperation with INSEAD Business School titled Secrets of the administration Success. On the roles of institutionalizing family businesses in business sustainability. Abdulrahman bin Saleh Al Ataishan, Chairman of Aaharqia Chamber, said that the forum sheds light on the four main challenges facing the transformation of family businesses into the contribution of the good governance role throughout its generations. The Board of Directors and the most prominent treatments provided in this regard, as it is one of the most common challenges facing employers, especially from the second generation, as well as the subject of family businesses and the principle of limited partnership and the importance of diversity and balance between the members of the board of directors.
    Al Atishan pointed that the forum of governance in family businesses comes at a time as the government is making great efforts to support the continuation of family and non-family businesses. He pointed that family businesses occupy a large part of the national economy, The first generation of many turbulence is coming to an end, which requires a more governance approach. The launch of the parallel market (Nomuw), which is a serious government step towards institutionalizing the business, finance, pointing that it will raise the attractiveness of the sector in front of investment obstacles.
    Asharqia Secretary General, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel, said that Asharqia Chamber takes the common culture of institutionalization and transformation among the companies of the region as a target, pointing that this forum and other programs offered by the Chamber are all aiming to achieve the goal of transformation and governance. Pointing that good governance begins when expertise is available, written regulations and clear future plans for growth and expansion.
    Al Wabel explained that the Forum is trying to present a list of the challenges facing the growth and sustainability of family businesses, focusing on a number of  topics that are considered as obstacles to family businesses accompanied by the development of a package of treatments for each challenge separately.
